we believe that art is more than just an activity—it's a transformative journey. Our thoughtfully designed curriculum fosters creativity while nurturing emotional and intellectual growth. Through a blend of artistic skill-building and imaginative exploration, we guide children to express themselves, think critically, and discover their unique potential. With a supportive environment and expert guidance, we empower each child to embrace their creativity and embark on a path of self-expression and personal growth.
In Artmitra, we make it a point to integrate knowledge about Indian art forms and artists into our curriculum,
helping children develop a deeper appreciation for the rich, diverse, and skilled artistic culture of India. Here’s how we do this:
We introduce students to various traditional Indian art forms, such as Madhubani, Warli, Kalamkari, kerala mural painting, Pattachitra, and more. By exploring these art forms, children learn about different techniques, materials, and the cultural significance behind each style.
We emphasize the regional diversity of Indian art, highlighting how different parts of the country have their unique artistic traditions. For example, students may learn about the intricacy of Rajasthan’s miniatures, the geometric patterns of Gujarat’s Bandhani, or the vibrant folk art of Punjab.
Children are introduced to the works of iconic Indian artists like Raja Ravi Varma, Amrita Sher-Gil, M.F. Husain, and contemporary artists such as Subodh Gupta or Bharti Kher. By studying their lives and masterpieces, students gain inspiration and insight into how art reflects society, culture, and personal expression.
We link the exploration of art with stories from Indian history, and literature. For example, while learning about the different types of art forms that was born and flourished at different timelines of our vast history, from which children also learn about the cultural significance of them in Indian heritage.
Students engage in projects inspired by Indian art, such as creating their own Warli murals or experimenting with henna designs, allowing them to directly connect with these traditions. This hands-on approach helps them understand the nuances of the techniques and develop a personal connection to India’s artistic legacy.
We incorporates Indian festivals like Diwali, Holi, and Onam into the curriculum by exploring the artistic traditions associated with them, such as creating rangoli designs, painting diyas, or making colorful kites. This gives children a sense of the cultural richness that shapes Indian art.
we empower children to explore their potential through the transformative power of art.
Our mission is to inspire and nurture creativity in every child, fostering self-expression, confidence, and personal growth. Through thoughtfully designed programs and a supportive environment, we empower young minds to explore their potential, think critically, and embrace the joy of artistic discovery. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to making art a transformative journey that shapes confident, imaginative, and emotionally aware individuals.
Our supportive and inclusive environment encourages children to embrace challenges, express their emotions, and celebrate their individuality. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to shaping confident, imaginative, and emotionally aware individuals who carry the transformative power of art into every aspect of their lives.
